Last weekend we (along with hundreds of other people) headed down to Brighton for the weekend. We were originally going for just the day but we found out a friend of Jesses that we hadn’t seen in almost 3 years was going to be there at the same time so we decided to stay for the whole weekend. Luckily Clems auntie and uncle live down there so we had somewhere to stay.
The weather was amazing! It was like being on holiday in a foreign country. Brighton was super busy, not just because of the weather but the Fringe festival has started and there was a children’s parade as well. We spent a lot of time down on the beach, we even had a barbecue which was lovely. Clem absolutely loved it, even if she did try and eat some of the pebbles
On Saturday after we arrived we wandered around the laines, had lunch in the pavilion garden, stopped off for ice cream then walked all the way along the seafront to Hove. We’ve been to Brighton a few times now but never ventured down to Hove so it was nice to explore a new area and find some super cute (and colourful) beach huts. You also get a great view of the burnt down West Pier from that end.
On Sunday the weather was even nicer, it was so warm that we even went for a little paddle! It was freezing but nice and refreshing after all the walking around we did the day before.
We had a fish and chip lunch on the beach which was really nice, followed by more walking and then a barbecue on the beach to finish off the weekend. It was a lovely weekend, the weather couldn’t have been nicer. Clem is a complete outdoor child, she loved being on the beach and playing with the pebbles. She even wanted to keep going in the sea despite it being absolutely freezing. Although we did see people actually swimming, and kids playing so I guess it was ok once you were in!
It looks like you chose lovely weather for your weekend to Brighton. We love the pebble beach there it is so different to the sand here in Cornwall and buzzing with people. Plenty of out door fun, definitely a break to remember #Pointshoot
We were definitely lucky with the weather. I like the pebble beach too, means you don’t get sand everywhere! Although sandy beaches are great for building sandcastles.

We are lucky because we have family there so we go quite often now. Before that I’d never been. It’s a great place to go, lots to do and see.x
