July Instagram Round up

by

July seemed to pass by in a blur. We are already 5 days into August now! We didn’t even do anything that special last month either. However I really like doing these monthly photo round ups. It’s nice to look back on the month. So July looked a lot like this according to my Instagram.

We went to Devon at the beginning of the month to stay with family. Despite it raining for most of the week we did manage to get a few moments of sunshine. Which happened to be the only moments I posted on Instagram.

Our local council organised a big Party in the Park and the theme this year was sci-fi. They showed the newest Star Wars film, and had a cosplay competition. I saw the cutest kids dressed as Chewie and a Jedi. So cute!

It rained – a lot! In fact I got soaked right the way through. When we left the house it was sunny and I was wearing a t-shirt. At least I made some people laugh as I ran home pushing Clem.

Clem has changed so much this month. Her speech is constantly improving. We get new words each day. I am finally known as mama which is nice after being called dada for almost the last year! She has even used the potty a few times but then ran away scared of it.

My friend Leanne launched her Etsy shop this month selling planner stickers and it’s great. Seriously if you love stationery, have a planner (or 3!) or just like cute stickers then go and check out her store.

Summer finally arrived in the UK and stayed for all of a week! To make sure we took full advantage of the 30 plus degree sunny weather, I ran to our nearest Wilkos and picked up a small paddling pool. Clem loved it! It also doubles up as a great ball pool or play area. It’s currently full of plastic ducks and beach toys.

Our postman was kept busy. We had lots of parcels from the lovely guys at Penguin Random house, all full of lovely books to review. Check out what we thought of them here. We still have a few more to come so keep an eye out for them. I also got a great stationery subscription box to review which you can also check out at the link above.

Probably the biggest thing of last month, the year and quite possibly our lives – we have decided to move! To Brighton! Or Hove, depending on where we can find somewhere to live. We really like it there, we have family there and it seems like a good place to grow up. There always seems to be something going on. Every time we go down there is some festival/parade/event going on. We’ve been down a few times now and looked at property. It’s equally exciting and terrifying!

August is going to be filled with more house hunting. Also this weekend is Clems 2nd birthday, and we are going to the Zoo for that so expect lots of animal photos in next months update.

Keep Calm and Carry On Linking Sunday
