Life Lately – A Quick Update

by

I’ve been rather quiet on the blog and social media for the last month or so. Life got in the way of blogging. It was the summer holidays, and Clem was off from preschool which meant that I didn’t have a lot of free time. Also my laptop battery and charger decided to break, and after my graphics card also giving up it made blogging pretty difficult. My laptop was unusable, but Jess came to the rescue and now I have his laptop which he never used. It’s covered in craft beer company stickers but it works and that’s all that matters. My blogging space is also pretty much sorted now as well.

Now that Clem is back at preschool, for longer hours and more days, it means I can finally concentrate on blogging. I really want to make a go of it. This blog has been going almost a year now. I have slowly been building my DA up and my followers on social media. I’ve signed up to a few of the courses run by Aby which I’m hoping will help my focus and productivity. I have been meaning to do them for ages. Finally I have the time to sit down and do them. I can’t wait to get stuck in. I’m also going to attempt Blogtober which I am actually already planning posts for.

At the end of the month is Britmumslive, also known asĀ #BML17 which I am both nervous and excited about attending. It will be a very early start for me but I am looking forward to meeting other bloggers. So if you see a nervous awkward tired looking person it’s probably me so please say hello.

Holiday Time (Again)

We also went on another family holiday. This time with Clems granddad, uncle and extended family. It was lovely, a whole week of relaxing, eating, swimming in the sea and sunshine. I’m sure you’ve seen my holiday pics spamming on Insta but if not don’t worry I’m going to put them here as well. We stayed in an absolutely stunning villa in Cala d’Or in Mallorca. It was right on the coast, with steps down into the sea. There was a lovely sandy beach just around the corner as well. The villa also had a pool but it was pretty cold, the sea was actually warmer! The weather was perfect, a few cloudy days but it was still warm. On one of the days we all went out on a boat which was lovely. The coastline of Mallorca is absolutely stunning. We saw so many hidden caves and coves that I just wanted to explore.

Going on holiday in September seemed like the perfect time. The weather was great, it wasn’t too busy and the sea was nice and warm. The beach was pretty crowded but it was pretty narrow and small. We only went there one afternoon because the sea was pretty rough near us. I couldn’t get over how blue the sea was, and not just one shade either. I can definitely recommend Mallorca for a family holiday. It’s just perfect.
