It’s been a while since I last did one of these posts. So here are some of my favourite things from over the last month. Before I launch into my list, I just wanted to take the time and say a massive thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. It was a difficult one to post, and I was worried about sharing it. However everyones comments were amazing so thank you.
Sharing the blogging love
♠ I really related to this post over on Dear Mummy. As someone who doesn’t really drink it was nice to see that I’m not the only one
♠ This post was great, and not just because of the use of all the gifs. I’ve definitely had most if not all of those thoughts at some point during blogging.
♠ The wonderful Mumzilla and IslandLiving365 are organising a virtual cake and coffee morning on September 30th to raise money for Macmillan and Bart’s Charity. You can find out more here and there is also a link to donate if you would like to. I lost my nan to cancer so I will definitely be joining in.
♠ Aby from You Baby Me Mummy has set up a great 5 day free course all about increasing your productivity. So far it’s going well. If you want to know more, then head over to her site and check it out. She also has some great posts on blogging which are worth checking out.
TV/Music
♠ Two of my all time favourite bands Korn and Limp Bizkit announced a co-headline tour and I missed out on tickets!! I’m not sure why this is in my favourite things because I got super bummed out by it. However just the fact they are both touring together made me jump around like a 16-year-old. Korn were the band that got me into rock and metal, quickly followed by Limp Bizkit so they both hold special places in my heart. I’m also going to look at Twickets closer to the gig and see if I can get some.
♠ I saw Coheed and Cambria again last month. I only saw them back in February but they came out for Reading and Leeds Festival and did a few dates. I love that band so much.
♠ I’ve become a bit obsessed with Gilmore Girls. It’s so good! How on earth I missed it first time around I have no idea but thanks to the gods of Netflix I can now watch it all.
♠ The new series of American Horror Story has just started which I’m super excited about. I haven’t been the biggest fan of some of the later seasons but the last one really grabbed me back in. So I’m hoping for good things from this one.
♠ Bake Off is back!! Yay! And despite the news that it’s been sold off to channel 4 and Mel and Sue won’t be going with it. Let’s all enjoy the puns and innuendos, eat some cake and wait for the first soggy bottom to appear!
General Life
So the last month hasn’t exactly been the best but we are now in the process of moving. We’ve found a house, had our offer accepted and our mortgage is currently all going through. Now we just play the waiting game and organising our lives into boxes. I’ve also been taking a step back from blogging and social media in an attempt to have a bit of a digital detox. I keep finding myself spending a lot of time faffing around on social media. Twitter, instagram, facebook and pinterest all steal my time instead of actually doing productive things. This was one of the reasons why I decided to take part in Aby’s blogging challenge. It’s really helped, and although I’ve fallen behind I’m going to hopefully catch up over the next few days.
I’ve also got a lot of good things coming up over the next few months which I can’t wait to share with you all.
Thanks for the mention lovely xx
No problem x
What a fab list. I have never see Gilmore Girls! Thanks for mentioning #bloggersbeatingcancer 🙂
Oh it’s so good. No problem, it’s for a great cause. x
I absolutely love the Gilmore girls and I am too grateful for good ole Netflix!!! #EatSleepBlogRT
I don’t know what I’d do without Netflix, I love it. So many good shows and films on there. x
Ah love Gilmore girls and Limp Bizkit (my husband laughs at both of those) Kinda wish I had tickets to the Limp Bizkit tour…. #EatSleepBlogRT
I was sad about not seeing them until I saw the price of the tickets. They are super expensive!
